Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

Execute diverse ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, ensuring to explain each step with empathy and clarity
Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging
Maintain and operate imaging equipment effectively, reporting any technical issues immediately
Accurately document all procedures and maintain electronic patient records
Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound techniques and best practices
Education Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required

Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or a similar credential
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
Skills Needed
