Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for advanced materials, process development and next-generation manufacturing technologies?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineer III to lead the scale-up and manufacturing of innovative soft magnetic materials and stack assemblies used in cutting-edge applications across industries including electric vehicles, aerospace, robotics and advanced electronics.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bridge research and development with full-scale manufacturing, helping transform innovative materials into commercially successful, high-performance products.
As Engineer III, you'll play a key role in developing, optimising and industrialising manufacturing processes for advanced magnetic materials and precision stack assemblies.
Working closely with R&D, Quality, Product Development and Manufacturing teams, you'll lead process improvement initiatives, introduce new production technologies and ensure products can be manufactured efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Lead manufacturing process development and scale-up for advanced soft magnetic materials and stack assemblies
Develop production methods, tooling, fixtures and manufacturing documentation
Collaborate with R&D teams to transition prototypes into full-scale manufacturing
Optimise manufacturing processes including powder metallurgy, sintering, heat treatment and lamination stacking
Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency and production yields
Evaluate new equipment, tooling and automation solutions
Create work instructions, validation documentation and manufacturing standards
Ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards
We're looking for an innovative engineer with strong manufacturing expertise and experience working with advanced materials or high-performance manufacturing environments.
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering
Experience within advanced materials, soft magnetics or precision component manufacturing
Strong understanding of process development and manufacturing scale-up
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Automotive, aerospace or electronics manufacturing
Powder metallurgy
Heat treatment and advanced manufacturing processes
Magnetic material characterisation and performance testing
ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar quality management systems
Automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
