Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Schedule
This position requires a rotating schedule of 3 shifts of 12 hours each, with flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and expertise in obstetric care, including ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum nursing. The position involves direct patient care in a dynamic environment with a focus on high-quality care for both mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care for women during childbirth in a supportive environment.
Monitor and assess the health status of the mother and newborn through all stages of labor.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
Utilize advanced technology and equipment as needed for patient monitoring and care.
Participate in education and support of families regarding childbirth and newborn care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required.
Experience with Epic / Stork electronic health record system is essential.
Ability to float to Maternity, Pediatric, or any adult floor as necessary.
