This Jobot Job is hosted by: We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support a single attorney who handles sexual assault/abuse and other very sensitive personal injury cases. In this role you will take full ownership of paralegal duties—including state and federal court filings, deadline and calendaring management, administrative tasks, and all aspects of case support. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless case operations while working in an emotionally significant practice area that demands professionalism, compassion, and precision.

Truly autonomous role: you will manage the full suite of paralegal tasks and be the go-to professional for this attorney.

Manage all filings (state and federal courts) and ensure compliance with applicable rules and deadlines.

• Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to document management, draft correspondence, and coordinate with opposing counsel and court personnel.
• Organize and maintain case files, track milestones, and prepare materials for attorney review.
• Assist the attorney in all day-to-day case management tasks, both large and small, with ownership and accountability.

Paralegal certification or equivalent experience in a law firm setting.

• 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation and specifically sensitive matters (sexual assault/abuse) or complex civil litigation.
• High emotional intelligence, maturity, and ability to handle sensitive case matters with care and discretion.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Houston, TX for on-site work.
