Head of Technology Innovation

Compensation: $175,000 - $250,000 base, plus bonus & equity participation.

LoanBud is seeking a Head of Product & Engineering to lead our technology organization and play a central role in shaping the future of our platform. You will be responsible for building and scaling our technology platform, leading the engineering team, and ensuring our product delivers an exceptional user experience for borrowers, partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate understands that great technology is not just about code, it’s about solving real problems, improving user journeys, and enabling business growth.

Define and execute the company’s technology strategy and roadmap

Align technology initiatives with business goals and product vision

Make architectural decisions that support scalability, performance, and reliability

Product & Customer Experience

Partner closely with leadership to shape product strategy and user experience

Ensure all technology decisions prioritize ease of use, speed, and customer experience

Translate business needs into high-quality product execution

Software Development & Delivery

Oversee the full software development lifecycle from concept to release

Ensure high-quality code, testing, and deployment practices

Platform & Infrastructure

Oversee infrastructure, integrations, and data architecture

Ensure uptime, performance, and system resilience

Work closely with Product, Operations, Credit, and Sales teams

Ensure alignment between technology and operational execution

Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies, including AI and automation

Continuously improve development workflows and system performance

Drive a culture of innovation and experimentation

Builder Mentality – Enjoys building systems from the ground up and scaling them

Customer-Focused – Prioritizes usability, speed, and customer experience

8–15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership

• Proven experience building and scaling technology platforms
• Strong understanding of modern architecture, cloud infrastructure, and APIs
• Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services

Experience building marketplaces or multi‑sided platforms

Experience leveraging AI or automation in product development
