Implements the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice. Skilled in the use of a PC, applicable software, peripheral equipment, and appropriate clinical databases. Required skills include 1 year of Long-Term Care experience. Current RN license and BLS certification are necessary. Duties during the day shift involve a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 18. Duties during the night shift involve a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 25. Cancellation policy allows for cancellation up to 24 hours in a 13-week assignment without penalty.
