Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly qualified Restructuring Counsel to join its practice in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court workouts.
Duties Represent secured lenders and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
Handle DIP financing and cash collateral use.
Develop plans of reorganization and manage asset dispositions.
Conduct out-of-court workouts and restructurings.
Oversee foreclosures and liability management transactions.
Manage assignments for the benefit of creditors.
Requirements Minimum of 10 years of law firm experience in relevant areas.
Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent academic credentials.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
Certifications Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
Skills Proficiency in handling complex restructuring cases.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
