Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates the various functions of designated Service area(s). Sets standards in collaboration with service(s) management and educators regarding staff educational needs. Serves as a liaison with Quality and Compliance.

Assists nursing director with operational functions directly related to a designated service area(s) programs, which may include identifying, implementing and monitoring performance improvement measures, collecting and collating established metrics for the service area and monitoring quality outcomes. ensures compliance with regulatory agency standards, and provides interpretation of intent for clinical support activities. As directed, provides input into policy development from a professional, technical or procedural perspective. Bachelors degree in Nursing or the equivalent combination of education and experience. DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is DMC’s largest hospital, offering a comprehensive heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology and cosmetic services. Sinai-Grace operates more than 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers throughout Wayne and Oakland Counties and is one of 10 hospitals in the nation to be awarded a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant to help set the standards of cardiac care for hospitals and physicians throughout the nation.
