RN - RRT-NICU

NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a Level III NICU. This position requires a nurse who is comfortable managing super high-acuity and critically ill neonates, including infants requiring advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 34 years of recent Level III NICU experience required

Strong experience caring for high-acuity and critically ill neonates

Therapeutic cooling experience required

Must be comfortable independently managing complex NICU patients

Previous travel experience preferred for traveler positions

Clinical Skills & Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates

Care for infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling

Manage high-acuity patients requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support

Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen

Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices

Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products as ordered

Recognize and respond quickly to neonatal deterioration and emergency situations

Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization

Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and closely monitor changes in patient condition

Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team

Provide education and emotional support to parents and families throughout the infant's hospitalization

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Required Certifications:

Active RN license

BLS

RN

Additional certifications may be required based on facility policy

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have 34+ years of strong Level III NICU experience and be confident caring for extremely high-acuity neonates. Candidates must have hands-on therapeutic cooling experience and be able to function effectively in a fast-paced NICU environment with minimal supervision.
