Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental health, and treatment options to support long-term care
Review and update patient health histories, medications, and conditions; accurately document all findings in patient records
Perform comprehensive hygiene procedures, including diagnostic X-rays, prophylaxis (adult and child), non-surgical periodontal therapy, adjunctive treatments, and co-diagnosis with the doctor
Administer local anesthetic as needed
Utilize intraoral cameras to enhance patient education and treatment planning
Clean, sterilize, and prepare operatories and equipment following proper protocols
Collaborate effectively with the entire dental team and assist with front office responsibilities when needed Qualifications & Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in the State of Illinois
Proficient with dental software and technology
