Quality EngineerEaton's IS AER FMC Aerospace division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $ 90,000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:Job Summary Monitors and reduces process and product variation by statistical tools, including the use of ProLaunch and the Eaton Quality System. Establishes, coordinates and maintains quality assurance standards and procedures; collects, computes, analyzes and reports said quality data as statistical records; conducts required quality testing and develops quality program plans in accordance with supplier, customer, and contract specifications. Quality liaison for customers as required. Supports VSM manager and HPWT as it relates to projects and Quality objectives.Job Responsibilities Supports new and existing products through the implementation of Quality systems and techniques that comply with customer and regulatory requirements. Responsible for overall product quality primarily of Boeing Commercial or Military and Commercial product lines by establishing effective monitoring of product and process quality through development, implementation and maintenance of assembly and verification instructions, process control plans, PFMEAs and final product verification requirements. Perform and interpret Measurement System Analysis. Apply and explain statistical data to all levels of the organization. Identification and elimination of areas of variation throughout the manufacturing process. Determine root cause corrective actions and work through failure analysis utilizing 8D problem solving discipline. Identify and reduce costs of nonconformance: scrap, warranty, rework, etc. Support HPTW and other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.• (1) One year of experience in a quality related role within a manufacturing environment.• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI.Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.• Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics.• Quality and Metrology knowledge.• Skills in analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Proficiency in using software tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, Minitab).• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 & IATF 16949• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and new challenges in a dynamic work environment. Open to learning new tools and methodologies. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PDF reader (Word, Excel, Adobe/Firefox, Outlook, etc.).Skills:• Must be able to work alone and on teams with good interpersonal and leadership qualities to get assigned tasks completed in a timely manner.• Must possess effective and verbal communications skills.• Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills to maintain and address multiple assigned projects and expectations.• Experienced in the design and development of fixtures, automation workstations, accounting for work and process flow.• Must be able to present ideas in a clear and concise manner through various tools or software and gain approval from various levels of the organization.
