Head of Project Management

Job Overview Ryan Companies is hiring a Project Manager II to join the Austin team. The role requires at least 6 years of successful project management experience in a design-build environment and a bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field. The candidate must have advanced knowledge of estimating, cost control, material pricing, and be able to use Microsoft Project and other project management tools.

Responsibilities Work with project schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports.

Lead construction progress meetings and oversee design development.

Prepare and manage project budgets, profit projections, schedules, and bid documents.

Negotiate and award subcontracts.

Conduct job site coordination meetings and provide job status reports.

Work directly with owners/clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management.

6+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living, multi-family).

Experience managing projects in the $1 – $75 million range; office and tenant improvement projects $1 – $30 million preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools; advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Strong estimating, cost‑control, and material‑pricing knowledge.

Excellent communication, professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

Travel available as needed.
