Title Project Manager II Location Austin, Texas - ONSITE. Candidates must reside in the Austin area. Duration 12+ Months Job Description The Project Manager II is an Information Technology (IT) position that will manage components of highly complex and visible projects and/or program initiatives. This role will follow project management methodologies and governance processes to deliver work products on time and within a set budget. The role will also collaborate with the end‑user and key stakeholders to provide status updates and gather requirements, with the vendor on their implementation and delivery of contract deliverables, and with the internal IT Team. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing the timeline for multiple projects. Further, this individual will work to identify project risks and issues and proactively manage a plan to mitigate the risks and resolve the issues. The worker's responsibilities and skills must include: Experience with general IT SDLC processes. Experience with implementing Enterprise Systems Integration projects. Experience with SAP. Experience with mediating business units that may have conflicting requirements. Experience driving systems integration delivery projects from 3rd party vendors to delivery acceptance and project closure. Experience with preparing and presenting executive level project communications, project tracking and stakeholder management. Ability to create and maintain several project artifacts including Project Timeline, Risk & Issue Log, Communication Plan, Stakeholder Register etc. Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues. Responsible for project scope delivery adhering to and optimizing schedule, costs, and resources. Projects include TxDOT, partners, and third-party deliverables. Acts as the counterpart for vendors program leader to ensure customer satisfaction and be the escalation point for service delivery activities. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a creative thinker to solve issues. Must be hands‑on project manager for multiple projects. Qualifications Experience managing all phases of large and complex technical projects. 7 Experience creating and maintaining project artifacts including Project Timeline, Risk & Issue Log, Communication Plan, Stakeholder Register, etc. 7 Experience with general IT SDLC processes. 7 Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks and issues. 7 Experience preparing and presenting executive‑level project communications, project tracking, and stakeholder management. 7 Skilled in gathering requirements from business divisions. 7 Skilled in educating business unit staff on standardized processes. 7 Strong verbal and written communication skills with peers, end users, and executive leadership. 7 Skilled in facilitating large group meetings with internal and external stakeholders. 7 Skilled in collaborating with technical and functional teams to develop Technical Specifications and supporting documentation. 7 Hands‑on project manager with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. 5 Experience implementing Enterprise Systems Integration projects. 4 (Preferred) Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more State of Texas government agencies. Experience with SAP. Experience mediating business units with conflicting requirements. Experience driving systems integration delivery projects from third‑party vendors through delivery acceptance and project closure. Responsible for project scope delivery while optimizing schedule, cost, and resources across TxDOT, partners, and third‑party deliverables. Acts as the counterpart to vendor program leaders to ensure customer satisfaction and serves as the escalation point for service delivery activities. Creative thinker with the ability to solve issues and resolve project challenges. CBAP and/or PMP certification. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI‑enabled tools and automation to improve project planning, scheduling, reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery outcomes while ensuring appropriate governance, security, quality, and human oversight. #J-18808-Ljbffr
