Human Resources Coordinator
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $30.00/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-directed Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations, employee onboarding, compliance activities, reporting, personnel records management, and employee engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for an organized HR professional who can work independently, manage confidential information, and provide exceptional support to employees across the organization.
Complete pre-employment activities and coordinate biweekly new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
Manage daily HR administrative functions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including attendance tracking, separations, and training initiatives.
Respond professionally and promptly to employee inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Prepare and distribute weekly HR reports covering terminations, headcount, payroll updates, milestone anniversaries, and leave of absence activity.
Review and process HR-related mail, including invoices, unemployment claims, and garnishment requests.
Support employee engagement programs and DEI initiatives that promote an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
Assist with HR compliance efforts and administrative projects as assigned.
Previous Human Resources experience in a coordinator, assistant, or related HR support role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Experience navigating and utilizing the Workday HRIS platform.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Experience working in a union environment.
Familiarity with employee relations, compliance, and HR reporting processes.
