Registered Nurse - Oncology Telemetry
Schedule
Shift: Days/Nights Only (possible 12-hour rotating assignment; shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks)
Assignment Details
Unit type: Oncology telemetry with progressive care unit (36 beds;

24 PCU)

Requirements
Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
At least 1 year PCU experience (high-acuity PCU experience required)
Current/valid compact or state RN license at time of submission
References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be a manager/supervisor
Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, NIH/NIHSS
Charting system: Epic
Key clinical skills: Telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation; central/PICC/peripheral line care; blood product administration; accessing ports; starting/maintaining IVs; feeding tube care; tracheostomy care/management; high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), CPAP/BiPAP; chest tubes; PCA management; ABG interpretation
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and vital signs
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on disease management and self-care
Participate in infection prevention and fall prevention protocols

Compliance / Notes
COVID-19 vaccination not required; flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only). Credentialing notes include strict compliance and fingerprinting deadlines.
