Bartender
Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, and service-oriented Bartender to join our team at the Rochester Ice Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong mixology skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and providing exceptional customer service in a fun and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, attentive service and engage with customers to create a positive atmosphere.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
Take and process food and beverage orders through the point-of-sale system.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas at all times.
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper alcohol service.
Monitor bar inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and issue correct change and receipts.
Respond to customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
Set up and break down bar areas before and after shifts.
Restock coolers and bar supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Accurate cash-handling and basic math skills.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with bar equipment (mixers, blenders, beer taps, etc.).
Food safety and alcohol service certifications (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).
Work Environment:
Prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
Busy and noisy environment, especially during events.
Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends.
Pay Rate:
~$13.50 $15.00 per hour plus tips (based on experience)
