Job Title: Packer/Crater Job Description

This position involves supporting the safe packaging and shipment of high-value machinery and equipment. The role requires building custom crates, skids, platforms, and packaging solutions to ensure products are protected during both domestic and international shipping.

Build custom crates, skids, frames, boxes, or platforms.

Measure and cut wood accurately for packaging solutions.

Collaborate with shipping, receiving, production, and engineering departments.

Plan crate dimensions and determine appropriate bracing and protective packaging.

Experience in carpentry, lumber, woodworking, construction, or cabinet making.

Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, such as table saws, circular saws, drills, and nail guns.

Experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management.

Basic computer skills for handling labels, shipping documents, and inventory.

Ability to lift, move, load, and unload materials safely.

The role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse setting, involving hands-on work on the production and shipping floor. Flexibility is important as priorities may change based on shipping and production demands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwood, MA.
