Sub Teacher for High School

Position Summary: Outlook Strict Discipline Academy is seeking dedicated and caring Substitute Teachers to join our team. Substitutes play a vital role in supporting our students and maintaining a consistent, positive learning environment when regular teachers are absent. We’re looking for individuals who are dependable, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping students succeed—especially those who benefit from structure, encouragement, and understanding. Candidates must have completed at least 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university with a minimum 2.0 GPA, or hold a valid or expired Michigan Teaching Certificate. Fingerprinting and a background check are required prior to placement. Ideal candidates will have experience working with middle or high school students and may have training or experience supporting at-risk youth or students with behavioral or emotional challenges. Strong communication skills, patience, and a calm, steady presence are essential qualities for success in this role.
This is a temporary, on-call position located at Outlook Academy. The substitute teacher rate is $120 per full day or $60 for a half-day assignment. The school day runs from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
