Healthcare RN (Weekend Shift)

In-Office | Los Angeles, CA, United States.

Start date: 07/20. 13 weeks contract. 40 hours per week. Variable shift: Monday‑Friday starting 7 a.m., 8 a.m., or 9 a.m. Staggered shifts. Call schedule may require after‑hours work: 1‑2 weekdays a week and 1‑2 weekends a month (every other weekend).

Nurses will float to the CV holding (pre‑op/post‑op). Scrub color is provided onsite. Manager will call for interview.

Impella experience is a must.

Job Summary
Observes, evaluates, and coordinates the care given to patients in the Special Procedures department. Participates in direct and indirect care of all related activities according to the policies, procedures, philosophy and mission of the organization.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred

Registered Nurse with critical care experience or medical‑surgical or experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedure department - Preferred

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice - Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS OR HS‑ACLS OR RQIACLS) certification - Required

Advanced Electrocardiogram (EKG) certification - Preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS‑BLS OR RQI BLS) certification - Required

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Required

Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) - Required

Essential Functions

Collect relevant data pertaining to the patient’s health or situation.

Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.

Develop and implement a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes.

Coordinate care delivery and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.

Evaluate progress toward achieving outcomes and identify patient‑specific outcomes.

Connect electrocardiogram (EKG) leads and alert physicians of any changes in patient condition.

Record and analyze hemodynamic parameters and calculate shunt, valve and other data.

Monitor patient, analyze EKG and hemodynamic parameters, and report any changes in patient condition to physician.

Operate computerized MIDAS system accurately and report significant data and findings throughout all procedures.

Operate specialized equipment: Datascope IABP, Baxter Cardiac Output, ACT machine, Unistat oximeter, Medrad injector, Life Pak, defibrillator, Sony digital systems, GE Advantx X‑ray system.

Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.

Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.

Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment team.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
