A Fortune 200 dairy manufacturer is looking for a Senior Process Engineer for their facility near Wausau, Wisconsin. The Senior Process Engineer will provide specific focus on reducing operating costs, process capacity constraints, product losses, and product quality variation.
Responsibilities Optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Ensure best-practice solutions are implemented across all areas of facility.
Engage with R&D team on new product development, experimental design, and plant trials. Work closely with Project Engineering on final process design and commercialization.
Work with Maintenance team to ensure critical processes, control points, and measurements are properly maintained for consistent performance.
Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing the client’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Engage in root cause analysis and enhancement activities related to food safety and sanitation.
Education, Experience and Skills Required Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science or Dairy Science; 5 years of experience in Food or Beverage Manufacturing (preferred) or any manufacturing process involving ingredient blending (e.g., baby formula, chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, seasonings, oil & gas, etc.).
proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office; demonstrated success delivering process improvement initiatives; solid project management skills; experience in analyzing production data and performing mass balances using statistical methods.
Experience with mass balances and data analysis using statistical methods.
Experience Preferred Lean & Six Sigma training or certification, with the ability to use Six Sigma methodologies, tools and statistical software preferred.
Dairy Manufacturing experience preferred.
