Provide bedside patient care in a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and interpreting telemetry data
Manage post-operative and Urology patients, including those undergoing robotic surgeries, nephrectomies, or other complex procedures
Respond promptly to patient needs, collaborating with the healthcare team
Administer medications, wounds care, IV therapy, and other treatments as prescribed
Document patient care accurately in the EMR system (Meditech Expanse)
Support other units as needed, maintaining flexibility within hospital staffing requirements
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality
What You Need
Required:

Active Louisiana RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical or telemetry experience in an acute care setting
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
Skills in wound management, telemetry, IV therapy, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Preferred:

Experience with post-operative Urology and complex surgical patients
Ability to float across units confidently
