Perform detailed fetal anatomic exams, fetal echocardiography, Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, nuchal translucency exams, 3D/4D imaging studies, and gynecological exams; Assist Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians with invasive procedures; Demonstrate effective communication with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, to include concise and organized case presentation.
Perform patient care and daily tasks with a team approach. Interact with administrative staff, nursing staff, genetic counselors and maternal-fetal medicine specialists in a manner that promotes continuity of patient care.
Render patient care in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner; Participate in Perinatal Center quality assurance program by performing audits of ultrasound studies on a quarterly basis as assigned.
Follow HIPAA policies. Prepare, utilize, and monitor ultrasound equipment. Maintain daily quality control according to infection control requirements.
Perform all necessary computer operations; including reporting and billing functions (Viewpoint, PACS, Meditech, and HPF).
Maintain a clean work area by following infection control protocols, sterile techniques, and proper environment of care standards
Assist with annual supply inventory.
Minimum of 1-2 years as staff sonographer with OB/Gyn experience.

3 years as a sonographer in an Ob/Gyn or perinatal/maternal-fetal medicine setting.

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist program and competently cross-trained in ultrasound and/or graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers – OB/GYN certification
