Quality Engineering (Assembly / Manufacturing)

Quality EngineerAbility to work in a factory environment and flexible to support as needed with ability for business travel as needed (expected to be less than 10%). Previous full time work experience of 5 -7 years as QUALITY or Sr. Quality ENGINEER in a factory environment in Heavy Equipment / Agricultural Equipment/ Automotive industry is MANDATORY. Previous Caterpillar experience as a quality engineer is a major advantage (NOT mandatory). Demonstrated knowledge/understanding of assembly, test, and finish manufacturing processes, interpret engineering drawings. Strong ability in cooperation and influence skills to work with all levels of employees and customers, especially with leadership management employees. Requires quality tools knowledge and to be able to teach manufacturing/office employees how to properly apply quality tools or techniques. Knowledge of Tools – Microsoft Office Software Suite, ISO 9000 (Knowledge), APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan. ASQ Certification as a Certified Quality Engineer [CQE] is a plus (NOT mandatory) Desired Characteristics: Good written, spoken communication in English language (knowledge of Spanish is added plus).
