Housekeeper/Room Person

Position Title: Room Attendant

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Executive Housekeeper

Administration – Report to Housekeeping Office at the beginning of shift, pick up and sign out key, and return key at shift end. Clean and maintain all assigned rooms and suites daily: bed stripping, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, checking room lights, television, spot cleaning, and stocking room supplies. Report missing items, items in need of repair to supervisor, and maintain equipment. Keep doors closed when cleaning for safety. All lost and found are taken to the Housekeeping office as soon as found. Support – Have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Follow all safety training for proper health regarding bending, stretching, arm movement, and lifting. Scrupulously follow StepStone and hotel policies and procedures. Personal Effectiveness – Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Assume responsibility for personal growth and development. Conveys company information, decisions, or problems to appropriate parties in a timely manner. Hearing, writing, reading.

Additional responsibilities specific to you: comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions; relevant training and experience required; additional language ability preferred.

Employees must comply with all occupational safety and health standards and regulations established by the OHS Act and state and local regulations. Employees must immediately report any unsafe condition to the appropriate supervisor.
