Advanced WelderApplylocations: Flippin, AR (White River Marine Plant)time type: The Advanced Welder welds, cuts, and brazes metal pieces and products by using pneumatic grinding and hand welding equipment.***gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.* Repairs and fabricates various items using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.* Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, splatter, or shrinkage.* Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.* Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.* Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.* ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED***EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:**** Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent* Certificate(s) or License(s): Welding certification from Technical College or Trade School* Years of experience: 1 year welding experience at similar facility preferred. A minimum of 6 month in role as Entry Welder at current facility. Completion of a formal apprenticeship OR successful completion of an in-company training program required***KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:**** Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.* Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.* Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.***TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:**** Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.***INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT***:* Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation.
