Emergency Department RN Part-Time Day Shift

Job Overview Charge RN – Emergency Department (Georgetown, KY)

Shifts & Hours First Shift – full time 36 hrs (7 a.m. – Third Shift – full time 36 hrs (7 p.m. – First Shift – part time 24 hrs (7 a.m. – Third Shift – part time 24 hrs (7 p.m. – Responsibilities Manages shift operations for the department/unit, adjusting staff assignments as acuity, census, staffing and priorities change. Communicates all staffing schedule changes to the Clinical House Supervisor and/or Staffing Office.

Delegates responsibilities within scope of practice and provides guidance to co‑workers in assessment, clinical skills, and problem solving, networking with preceptors of new staff to facilitate orientation. Resolves any issues at point of care. Communicates current unit issues to Director, CHS, or designee. Collaborates with unit educator regarding unit needs. Reports to work on time and flexes schedule frequently.

Exhibits courtesy and discretion in interactions with families, patients, physicians and others. Facilitates bed placement and patient flow on unit in collaboration with the Clinical House Supervisor and ACC.

Qualifications One (1) year of RN experience.

Current RN licensure (or work permit) in Kentucky.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an associate degree from an accredited college/university.

Applicants with an associate degree and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and complete the degree within 5 years.

Unit‑specific certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS or other designated training may be required.
