As an LVN, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including those who are medically fragile or have behavioral health needs. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you'll play an essential role in improving the health, safety, and quality of life of the individuals you serve.
Monitor patient health, vital signs, and identify changes in condition
Perform skilled nursing procedures including:
Tracheostomy care
Wound care
G-Tube/J-Tube care
Respiratory treatments
Collect laboratory specimens and perform health screenings
Accurately document patient care in electronic medical records
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Assist with mentoring and training newly hired LVNs and direct care staff
Ensure compliance with all facility policies and nursing standards
Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) License
Experience in one of the following facility types: Long-Term Care, IDD, Behavioral Health, or Skilled Nursing.
Strong clinical assessment and technical nursing skills
