Per Diem Substitute NurseLocation of position: Fairport, NY 14450; Fairport and East Rochester CampusesTerm of employment: Per diem substitute for the 2026-2027 school yearStarting date: As needs present themselvesSalary range: $150 per day or $20.00 per hourDuties:Performing treatments and procedures such as soaks, recording vital signs and weight, medication administration, accompanying students on tripsScreening students for illnesses, height, weight, scoliosis, vision, hearingAdminister first aid as needed using school health services medical policiesCommunicate appropriately with school nurse, school personnel and parentsCarry out medical providers' orders as requiredHave working knowledge of school health care regulationsWork under the direction of a registered nurseAdminister medications at other locations as neededWork with diabetic students to assist in becoming self-directedQualifications:Civil service eligibility as a licensed practical nurse: possession of a valid New York state registered professional nursing (RN) license or valid New York state licensed professional nursing (LPN) licenseAED/CPR certification required; must renew with Monroe One BOCESPediatric experience preferredMust be able to perform CPR in a kneeling/floor-based position for a minimum of two continuous minutesPhysically able to perform essential job functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation), which may or may not include responding to emergency situations quickly (may require running up/downstairs, or running to sports field areas)
