We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Sacramento. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role responsible for designing and leading mechanical building systems projects from concept through completion.

This individual will play a key role in delivering HVAC and plumbing system designs across a variety of commercial project types, with a strong emphasis on healthcare and other complex facilities. The ideal candidate is experienced, self‑sufficient, and capable of taking ownership of projects with minimal ramp‑up.

Lead mechanical design efforts for HVAC and plumbing systems across commercial building projects

Manage projects from initial concept through construction, including calculations, system design, and documentation

Coordinate with architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success

Communicate directly with clients to understand project needs and provide technical guidance

Support junior engineers and contribute to overall project quality

Strong experience in mechanical building systems design within an MEP or consulting environment

Proven ability to take ownership of projects and contribute with minimal training

Experience working on commercial projects such as healthcare, education, civic, or institutional facilities

Demonstrated involvement in projects from design through construction

Healthcare project experience (hospitals, clinics, or similar regulated environments)

Experience working across multiple project types rather than a single niche

Prior client‑facing experience or involvement in managing project communication

Able to quickly step into active projects and contribute immediately

Takes ownership of design responsibilities and project deliverables
