RN Surgery- Day Shift

CVOR Surgical Nurse | Day Shift | Newark, NJ
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Nurse to join our high-acuity, high-volume surgical program. The candidate must have experience in complex cardiovascular procedures and be comfortable working in a hybrid operating room environment. The role includes circulating and, preferably, scrubbing duties.
Responsibilities:

Circulate in Cardiovascular and Hybrid OR cases
Assist with procedures including valve replacements, CABG, TAVR, and vascular surgeries
Manage patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring safety and quality standards
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support advanced surgical programs
Participate in on-call rotation, covering weekends and weekday shifts as required
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• 2.5 years of experience in CVOR, with hybrid room circulation required and scrubbing preferred
• Experience in transplant surgeries (cardiac, lung, kidney) highly preferred
• Competency in complex cardiovascular and vascular procedures
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
