Description:
This position involves working in a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit.
The RN will be responsible for the care of patients with significant histories of cardiac disease or related conditions.
The unit focuses on stabilizing staffing and reimagining the care environment.
Travelers will assist with staffing and may help precept new hires as recruitment efforts continue.
Successful candidates will have experience with cardiac patients and demonstrate a high level of engagement.
RNs may be required to float to other acute care medical/surgical units as needed.
Typical disease processes include Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Advanced Heart Failure, and Syncope.
The unit also handles diagnostic and interventional procedures such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and heart catheterization.
In addition, the unit may care for patients undergoing Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR procedures.
Generalized medical/surgical overflow may also be accommodated when necessary.
