Restaurant Prep Cook- Night Shift

As a Cook at the Hilton Bloomington, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking all food items according to menus and expediting orders quickly and correctly.

Prepare and cook food quickly and correctly following all required recipes and prepared in a timely manner.

Store food correctly and use proper rotation and dating standards.

Determine inventory of food items and requisition from storeroom.

Maintain high quality level of food production and presentation.

Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of cooking area along with personal hygiene.

Recognize and report over prep to Chef or Sous Chef.

culinary or apprenticeship program preferred, high school degree or equivalent required.

Must be able to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.

Ability to cut, dice, julienne, and prepare fresh produce with proper techniques.

Familiarity with seafood stocks, grilling, sauteing, deep frying, and cold food prep.

Ability to obtain necessary sanitation, liquor service, or food service certifications.

Knowledge of proper cooking procedures, knife handling, and use of kitchen tools.

Ability to read orders for the point of sales system and understand English.
