This attorney position is responsible for representing the Florida Department of Revenue in bankruptcy matters related to the collection of state taxes and child support obligations for which the Department has responsibility. Under the general direction of the Chief Legal Counsel for the Bankruptcy Unit of the Office of the General Counsel, the attorney will be responsible for reviewing, defending, and negotiating settlement of claims filed by the Department where objections have been raised. Further, the attorney will work with the Chief Legal Counsel, in representation of the Department in all phases of bankruptcy litigation, including research, preparation of pleadings, discovery, preparation of witnesses, hearing attendance, settlement negotiations, and trials as necessary.
Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
