Position Overview

Location: Sun City, CA, with float to Menifee, Perris, Hemmitt, Temecula, Fallbrook, Wildomar.

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Shifts are 8 hours, but may begin as early as 6:00 AM or finish as late as 6:00 PM.

Pay: $20.20 – $22.20 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements: Clean driving record, reliable transportation with mileage expenses paid. Requires pediatric and geriatric experience.

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, record maintenance data, and decontaminate as needed.

Update patient information and store specimens according to established procedures.

Explain the venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures in a clear, courteous manner.

Use straight needles or butterfly needles as appropriate.

Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.

Ensure 100% correct labeling by checking test requisitions or computer labels against scripts.

Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.

Maintain compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations.

Attend annual department trainings.

Answer telephone calls and review laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification in the state of employment.

Minimum of 6 months experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 2 years overall experience.
