Sales Engineering

The Sales Engineering role serves as a strategic technical partner in the pre-sales process, combining deep programmatic expertise with consultative client engagement. You will partner closely with Sales to guide technical discovery and position Viant as a trusted partner to brands and agencies.
Act as the primary technical lead throughout the pre-sales cycle - owning discovery, solution design, technical validation, and client-facing presentations
Partner with Sales to identify client objectives, uncover technical requirements, and architect programmatic solutions that align with business KPIs
Deliver compelling, insight-driven product demos that clearly articulate the value of Viant's DSP, Identity, Data, and Measurement capabilities
Lead technical deep dives with client-side programmatic, data, and analytics teams, serving as a trusted advisor to both technical and executive stakeholders
Partner cross-functionally to bring new business solutions to market, including Product, Marketing, Sales, etc.
Enable and educate Sales teams on programmatic capabilities, emerging ad tech trends, and competitive differentiation
Stay updated with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to contribute to the company's product roadmap and sales strategy
Deep expertise in ad tech and digital advertising, with a strong understanding of full-funnel media and measurement solutions

• 4+ years experience with Ad Tech platforms such as demand-side platforms (DSPs), data management platforms (DMPs), Customer Data Platform (CDP), and/or clean rooms technology
• Ability to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events
