Our Automotive Technology business is passionate about the automotive industry and produces as well as markets high-tech automotive components worldwide. Our product and service range includes chassis technologies such as steering and damper systems and the assembly of axle systems as well as powertrain components for conventional and alternative engines. We also develop assembly systems for body-in-white construction and produce lightweight car body components in series.
thyssenkrupp Presta North America is a global leader in automotive components technology and the leading steering systems supplier for the automotive industry. thyssenkrupp Presta North America provides the industry with high-quality manual and electric steering columns, rack and pinion steering gears, and electric power assisted steering gears. thyssenkrupp Presta North America is part of the thyssenkrupp Presta AG group, headquartered in Eschen, Liechtenstein. In 2003, our manufacturing facility was established in the South Industrial Park of Terre Haute, Indiana. Beginning with just one assembly line, a handful of employees and 58,000 square feet, the company has grown to over 450 employees and 224,000 square feet. In addition, we have an office on northeast side of Indianapolis where the Procurement and Supplier Development Department, Business Development and Product Engineering are now located. We have a third location in Troy, Michigan which houses our Sales Engineering, Logistics Distribution Center for USA, and Customer Resident Engineering.
Plans and directs sales activities for Presta steering products by performing the following duties.
Develops and executes customer-specific strategic sales plans and forecasts developed in line with organizational goals and objectives.
Achieves budgeted sales revenue and agreed-upon prices within assigned accounts. Drives organization to meet the needs of the account, acting as the voice of the customer within Presta.
Defines and implements customer-specific growth strategies by consulting all involved parties about pricing strategies, communication, and relationship building. Develops and drives a credible and productive long-term relationship at various levels and disciplines in order to maximize the value (top and bottom line) of short & long-term business with assigned accounts.
Responsible for the sales forecast and accuracy of the responsible accounts. Continually monitors markets, market requirements, and modification of existing product lines in the development of new equipment to meet changing market needs.
Reports business analysis and market trends and proactively adapts the sales strategy based on this information.
Forges key technical and commercial relationships with clients and internal teams while also proactively expanding and nurturing the overall business network.
Informs strategic decisions by reporting on market dynamics, competitive landscapes, sales forecasts, account roadmaps, and identified sales opportunities for assigned accounts.
Attends meetings as required in various Presta plants and sales offices. Actively participates in the weekly staff meetings, supports customer visits/audits, etc.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant experience. A minimum of 3-5 years as an account manager in the automotive market.
Computer and Technology Skills
Use of Microsoft Office Suites software in a windows operating system. Use of SAP integrated business software is a plus.
