This opportunity is based on a Production Associate career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Food Science, or a related field preferred

Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer in the food manufacturing industry
Experience sourcing food ingredients and packaging materials
Knowledge of vendor qualification, purchasing contracts, and supply chain processes
Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software preferred
Source and negotiate with vendors and brokers for food ingredients and baked goods materials
Ensure purchased products meet exact specifications and quality requirements
Review and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Coordinate purchasing activities with production and planning teams to maintain supply continuity
Procure packaging materials including films, containers, and printed packaging components
Resolve supply chain issues, delays, and quality concerns in a timely manner
Track inventory needs and purchasing timelines to support production schedules
Support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives
Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday
Ability to use computers, ERP systems, and office equipment
