Associate Chaplain -Pastoral Care

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking an Associate Chaplain for a per diem position with a combination of shifts. The ideal candidate will provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff in a diverse healthcare environment.
Provides spiritual counseling, support and care in line with beliefs and desires of patients, family members and interdisciplinary team members in times of spiritual distress or crisis.
Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree in theology, spirituality, pastoral ministry or equivalent subject matter accredited from a US Department of Education Approved Organization: Provides pastoral care services on an on-call basis for patients in various situations, such as those undergoing surgical procedures, facing end-of-life issues and following traumatic accidents.
Responds to requests for pastoral care in a timely manner.
Ensures the religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met. Acts as a spiritual resource for staff.
