Registered Architect - Competitive Salary + Benefits - Shelby, NC
Are you a Registered Architect ready to lead projects, clients and a small team? A long-established Architecture practice in Shelby, NC is looking for a mid-career Registered Architect to take on a visible leadership role, with a clear route into part ownership.
This is a full‑time opportunity for someone with 10+ years’ experience who wants autonomy, variety and a meaningful place in the local community. You will lead projects from Concept through to Construction Administration, working closely with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors and local officials.
Projects may include:
Commercial design and tenant improvements
Municipal and public facilities
Manufacturing and industrial buildings
Religious and faith community projects
You will manage timelines, budgets and project delivery, while helping guide the team and support the future direction of the firm.
This is a small, full‑service Architecture practice with more than 70 years of history across Cleveland County, North Carolina, South Carolina and the surrounding region.
The firm has built its reputation through repeat clients, strong relationships and deep local knowledge. It is a close‑knit practice where clients are known personally and the work has a real impact on the community.
Broad and varied project work
Strong local reputation and long‑standing client base
Quality of life in Shelby, with shorter commutes and access to Charlotte and the Blue Ridge Mountains
Active Registered Architect license, with NC license or reciprocity eligibility
10+ years’ Architecture experience
Strong knowledge of all project phases
Confidence working with clients, contractors and consultants
Revit, Rhino, D5 Render or similar 3D visualization experience helpful
