Contractor: HR Generalist

Soni Resources is seeking an experienced, interim HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR administration, benefits, HRIS management, compliance, payroll-related processes, and employee lifecycle activities. This hands-on role will serve as a key resource for maintaining accurate HR records, supporting employees and contractors, and ensuring efficient HR operations. The position will cover a long-term leave and require being onsite three anchor days in the organization's New York headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain employee and contractor records in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire documentation, system access, and termination processing.

Administer benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, disability, and COBRA.

Support payroll-related processes, including timesheet review, leave tracking, payroll audits, and employee inquiries.

Manage I-9 compliance, employment verifications, unemployment claims, and other HR compliance requirements.

Respond to employee and contractor HR inquiries and support HR communications.

Prepare HR reports, maintain documentation, and assist with annual HR processes, audits, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

4+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on HR Operations.

Advanced experience with ADP Workforce Now.

Experience administering employee benefits and supporting payroll-related processes.

Knowledge of HR compliance, including I-9s, unemployment claims, and employment verifications.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

Experience supporting organizations with fewer than 250 employees.

Experience supporting both employees and contingent workforce populations.

Familiarity with workers' compensation administration and HR process documentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional with strong HR operations and ADP expertise who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle in a collaborative environment.

Compensation: $40-50/hr.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
