Medical Assistant – Oncology
Schedule: 5 x 8-hour days
Requirements:

Certification: MA-C, BLS
Experience: Minimum 1 year in a clinical setting
EMR: Experience with Epic is required
Skills:

Obtaining vital signs and rooming patients
Preparing rooms for procedures and assisting providers
Basic specimen handling and point-of-care testing
Administering injections/immunizations within scope
Supporting medication-related tasks, including pharmacy communication
Phone triage and scheduling
Roles & Responsibilities:

Rooming patients and collecting vitals
Preparing rooms for outpatient infusion appointments
Assisting providers to support workflow in an oncology infusion setting
Performing basic specimen handling and labeling
Conducting point-of-care testing as required
Providing phone triage and scheduling assistance as needed
Compliance / Notes:

Orientation: 40 hours
References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required during the compliance process.
