Overview of A6 West Neurology: Imagine yourself as part of our dynamic team on A6 West Neurology, a 36-bed med-surg neuro tele unit specializing in providing exceptional care to patients with various neurological conditions. We focus on stroke care and manage diverse conditions including myasthenia gravis, encephalopathies, dementia, brain, and spinal tumors. What makes us unique is our exclusive Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), where patients undergo 24/7 monitoring for seizure activity. In the EMU, we conduct tests such as tilt table testing, strobe light testing, sleep deprivation, and medication adjustments to diagnose epilepsy and tailor treatment plans, making a tangible impact on our patients' lives.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. - Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Associate's Degree in Nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON. BLS Healthcare Provider
Preferred Experience: One year hospital nursing experience
