Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: August 25, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:4. 16-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more.
Highlights:

• Intermediate Care (IMC/Stepdown) unit providing care for adult patients
• Epic charting system utilized for documentation
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-week assignment with orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off period available
• Weekend coverage required approximately half of the contract period

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
Travel nursing experience required
Epic charting system experience required
Experience with 1:4 patient ratios preferred
Trauma Level I experience preferred; previous charge experience a plus
Skills in telemetry monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients preferred
Must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
Cannot reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
