Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct bedside nursing care for Medical Surgical / Telemetry patients at a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6
Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia identification, using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team in a newly developed unit environment
Work every other weekend as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
Be prepared to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous experience in a community hospital setting
