Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse seeking to make a meaningful impact in patient care? Join our team in the Progressive Care Unit, where you'll provide essential care to intermediate-acuity patients, many of whom are transitioning from intensive care environments. This role offers a dynamic, supportive atmosphere for experienced nurses dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage patients with intermediate acuity, including those on continuous cardiac telemetry, IV infusions, and supplemental oxygen.

Conduct thorough assessments to identify clinical deterioration, initiating escalation protocols or rapid response measures promptly.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—such as physical therapy, case management, and physicians—to ensure safe mobilization, effective discharge planning, and continuity of care.

Administer medications, wound care, respiratory treatments, and other nursing interventions while ensuring accurate documentation.

Maintain an optimal patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 3–4 patients to ensure attentive, personalized care.

Uphold hospital policies and safety standards while providing compassionate, individualized attention to each patient.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent (preferred).

Minimum of 2 years of progressive care experience in a hospital setting.

Valid and current Compact RN license.

BLS and ACLS certifications—required.

PCCN certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.

Shift & Schedule:
~ Night shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 pm – 7:30 am), providing a balanced work-life schedule.
