WA/Food Runner Position
As a WA/Food Runner at Buca Mira Mesa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area promptly and accurately, while maintaining the highest standards of service. You will also assist servers in managing guest requests and ensuring that tables are set and cleared efficiently. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as you will be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining room. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our guests and the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
Assist servers with table maintenance, including setting and clearing tables as needed.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and promptly.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests with a positive attitude and a focus on customer service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and service stations.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include effective communication, which is essential for interacting with both guests and kitchen staff. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will need to ensure that orders are delivered accurately and meet the restaurant's presentation standards. Time management skills will be utilized daily to prioritize tasks and ensure timely service during busy periods. Customer service skills will enhance the dining experience for guests, as you will be their point of contact for any requests or inquiries. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of food safety practices, will help maintain a clean and safe dining environment, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
