CPA/Senior Tax Preparer

Our offices are typically closed on Fridays from May through November -- a great opportunity for three-day weekends in the summer and fall.

Flexible work arrangements and environment, no mandatory Saturday work arrangements.

No overnight travel or long- distance travel. Travel between our three office locations is highly encouraged.

We are looking for a well-organized Tax Supervisor who can deliver excellent work while establishing connections with our current clients. The ideal applicant should be able to show that they can use their prior expertise and knowledge of taxes to make valuable contributions and help the tax department achieve its goals while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate should have exceptional process execution abilities and attention to detail in order to produce high quality work.

Assist with client engagements from start to finish, which involves organizing, completing and finishing tax compliance projects.

Assist with the development of tax planning techniques for clients while addressing client needs.

Assist with research of tax laws and preparation of tax memorandums on technical issues.

Begin reviewing compliance projects completed by Associates and Apprentices.

Assist with supervision of Apprentices during tax season.

Participate in mentoring, training, recruiting, retention and team-building activities.

Participate in developing and presenting internal training and seminars on technical issues.

Bachelors degree in Accounting (Masters a plus).

2-3 years of experience in public accounting

Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and Tax Law skills

Strong understanding of tax regulations and laws

Ability to analyze financial data accurately

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
