Senior Recruiter - Energy Sector (Contract)

Our reconstruction technology captures environments with geometric accuracy and extreme detail from any standard camera, and our Visual Positioning System delivers precise positioning almost anywhere in the world. We’re building for the 80% of economic activity that happens beyond our screens — robots that lose GPS and drift off course, defense teams without a shared 3D picture of where they operate, facilities where downtime costs millions. We serve customers across robotics, the public sector, and energy and industrial markets.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Recruiter (contract) to lead end-to-end recruiting during a critical growth phase. Partnering closely with hiring managers and leadership, you’ll identify, attract, assess, and close top talent across engineering, product, research, operations, go-to-market, and corporate functions. You bring a consultative, proactive approach, thrive in fast-paced startup environments, and excel at running multiple searches at once.

Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles, from intake through offer acceptance.

• Partner with hiring managers and leaders to define hiring strategies, candidate profiles, and interview processes.
• Build and execute sourcing strategies — direct outreach, referrals, networking, and recruiting platforms — to reach high-caliber candidates.
• Develop strong pipelines across software engineering, machine learning, AI research, product, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and people functions.
• Run recruiter screens that assess candidates’ qualifications, motivations, and alignment with our culture and values.
• Advise hiring managers on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and hiring best practices.
• Manage offers and negotiations through to close, and keep candidate records and recruiting metrics current in our ATS.
• Champion fair, inclusive hiring practices and identify ways to improve recruiting operations, workflows, and employer brand.

7+ years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience across both technical and non-technical roles.

• A track record in high-growth startups, technology companies, or venture-backed organizations.
• Proven success hiring software engineers, machine learning engineers, AI researchers, product managers, and business professionals.
• Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, and other talent tools.
• Experience managing many concurrent requisitions without compromising candidate experience.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems — Ashby preferred.
• Ability to work independently and influence hiring decisions with data and market insight.

Recruiting experience in AI, machine learning, geospatial, robotics, spatial computing, mapping, or related emerging-tech sectors.

• Experience building recruiting processes from the ground up in startup environments.
• Experience hiring globally or supporting distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Time-to-fill reduced while the hiring bar stays high.
• Strong, trusted partnerships with hiring managers and leadership.
• 6-month contract engagement with regular presence in our San Francisco office.
