Registered Nurse Travel Job Telemetry Shift Nights

Travel Nurse RN - CVICU (Omaha, Nebraska)

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12‑hour night shifts (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Schedule & Shift Details

Every other weekend requirement

Every other holiday requirement, or as needed based on unit needs

18‑bed CVICU with 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios

Responsibilities

Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips

Read and interpret telemetry strips independently

Care for open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients

Support patients with Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO

Handle complex cases from cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic

Float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU

Work with RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high‑flow oxygen

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with at least 2+ years recent hospital bedside experience

Minimum 1 year of experience with CVICU patient population

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must be able to start within 5 weeks (ASAP start)

Must have a driver’s license for radius verification

Must live outside a 50‑mile radius of Omaha and cannot be employed with any CommonSpirit facility

Navy blue scrub color requirement

Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination

Must pass open‑book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

2 shifts of unit‑specific orientation provided

Must be able to work 12‑hour night shifts and alternate weekend and holiday scheduling

Compensation & Benefits

Pay based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation)

Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined

$750 referral bonus

Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment
