American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma/Med-Surg Telemetry unit position requiring SD or compact RN licensure and prior telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma acute care setting.
Trauma/Med-Surg Telemetry unit in a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital

• 13-week assignment with 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Typical patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• May float to similar Med-Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Active SD or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Prior telemetry and Med-Surg nursing experience preferred given unit type
Provide individualized nursing care utilizing the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation
Coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs in collaboration with an inter-professional care team
Perform age-specific patient assessments, education, triage, and nursing interventions
All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
Candidates with prior employment at any Sanford Health location must disclose this for review, and must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
Local candidates may be considered, though a reduced rate may apply for those within 80 miles of the facility
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Travel RN - Med/Surg
